In order to create a more streamlined raiding environment for our healers we are going to use a specific method for conducting heals on raids. All healers will /autojoin the healer channel which is: lethheal (so /autojoin lethheal) In order to not have to change your healing macros every raid, ensure that you leave all other chat channels while raiding so that the healer channel is the only one you are in. The raid leader (or class leader) will announce the healer rotation once raid is formed. For this example I will assume Complete Heal is located in slot 6 of your cast bar. Everyone should have a macro that will look like the following: Line1: /1 Complete Heal incoming to >> %T << 10 secs! Line2: /1 **next cleric in rotation** You're next! Line3: /cast 6 When you see your name in someone's macro alerting you that you are next, you will use whatever the predetermined count is and wait that amount of seconds before pressing your macro. Lets say in this example the wait count is 8 and I am healing after Rightious, and Clerikt is after me. The rotation would look like this: Rightious - Line1: /1 Complete Heal incoming to >> %T << 10 secs! Line2: /1 Doctor You're next! Line3: /cast 6 **AFTER 8 SECONDS** Doctor - Line1: /1 Complete Heal incoming to >> %T << 10 secs! Line2: /1 Clerikt You're next! Line3: /cast 6 **AFTER 8 SECONDS** Clerikt - Line1: /1 Complete Heal incoming to >> %T << 10 secs! Line2: /1 Rightious You're next! Line3: /cast 6 Any questions please see me in game or post here. Thanks!
Oh I remember now.. We did something like. Doctor - Macro 1 Line 1: /pause (#) Line 2: /1 Inc CHEAL on >> %t << in 10 Seconds Line 3: /cast 1 Line 4: /1 Rightious YOU'RE NEXT Rightious Line 1: /pause (#) Line 2: /1 Inc CHEAL on >> %t << in 10 Seconds Line 3: /cast 1 Line 4: /1 Rightious YOU'RE NEXT This way, when the healer was called they clicked their macro and it would just kick off, and the 'lead cleric' would be starting the rotation.
I would highly suggest that the clerics get together for 10 minutes and figure it out. After its figured out, the only thing that needs to be adjusted is the rotation and timings as they will vary from mob to mob.
Honestly, I think our healers did an outstanding job. They put together a CH chain on the spot and if anything they were overhealing :p
I wasn't part of the raid, and I am not trying to downplay the clerics who I did read earlier did a good job. What I am getting at is there is a huge difference between trash mobs and raid encounters. To have something worked out before hand and have hotkeys/macros ready to go is a huge plus.
We omitted the pause because it was on the fly and with the minis and any mob in classic, you can simply count to 8 before pressing your hotkey. this allows you to spot heal as needed.
Spot heal on tank or spot heal on group member? If its a spot heal on the group member, then you select the group member and click your gem. and have a hotkey/macro set for /tar (tank). If it's a spot heal on the tank, then someone later in the rot should pick that up. Just my $.02
Just replying to let you know that I read this thread. I will be copy pasting the exact macros listed here. Thank you.
Got it boss! Let go raid now! hahaha, Just one question How do I set up an auto group heal with Thug Legs to land right after my CH heal hits the main tank, That way I am landing my CH Heal and instanly landing my group Heal?
**warning** this long of a pause is probably a bad idea in all reality. if you have to cancel a ch you might get some funky behavior /cast 1(or whatever ch is) /pause 100 (plus whatever the global is if needed on clickies, not sure if it is) /useitem 18 (assuming its equipped) if you want to click it from inventory you can type /useitem with no argument to get a list of the slots and their associated number. This of course requires you leave the pants in the same inventory slot or you break your hotkey.
You cant. They each have their own cast times. The only way to use both is to use a macro that does both, but you will still have time delay from when CH lands to when the pants land.
I would avoid using the /pause with the combination. For pants, I got /pause 450 to work cleanly. The auto-fire never stopped in group. During Velks, during the CH ROT, I was able to cast the CH ROT x 1, pants x2, but I did it manually.
