This exactly. It's cool to have some night time for the surprise factor, but the majority of the game is unplayable, for me at least, when it's too dark. Right now it's 30/30, right? If so, 45/15 seems waay better.
So if we want to keep the same full day length, moving to 36/12 would give us the same ratio while keeping the same full length. (I thought I read somewhere that full day/night cycles mattered for something... farming or plant respawn or something)
The longest days are between 13-14 hours of sunlight which is roughly 54-58% daylight. If you are going to do a ratio, don't make it any more than 60% daylight or the game is going to feel like a clown show. Night time is the best part of this game. If it is a 60 minute day, then it should be no more than 36 minutes day and 24 minutes night. Don't cheapen the game experience of the night please.
