Brutilicus (ign Talwyna) and I have been following the progression of Skyforge through the closed beta season and have really enjoyed the open beta content so far. Thank you for inviting us into your community, we both look forward to contributing to everyone's enjoyment and accomplishments in the game. I am a fairly new gamer. Summer of 2012, my teenage son was following the release of an upcoming mmorpg that looked to be revolutionizing the gaming experience. He thought it would be a good game for "newbies" to the genre, so invited me to join him when it came out. We spent that summer watching podcasts and sneak peaks while he schooled me on some aspects of class styles, movement, fight styles and guild systems. I had so much to learn. Once that game came out, it was clear that I was going to need a lot of "training" to survive and level and it was no fun putting that burden on my son every time he played, so I researched existing guilds and found a great group of guys to assist me on my journey. After several months in that guild we started seeing some immense growth in guild population and participation. One of our new guildies proved to be very skilled, patient, kind, and willing to put in the time to teach me the finer points of game play. We found ourselves spending a lot of time in the game at each others side and eventually took the step to get to know each other outside of the game. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would dedicate my free time to "gaming" or ever be skilled enough to assist in high level dungeons, and I especially never thought I'd meet someone IN a game that I'd end up in a relationship with. But here we are, I'd rather turn on my computer, load into a game, and chop up monsters than watch a movie, and all this while on Skype with my boyfriend I met almost three years ago in a video game. My gaming resume: I started in GW2 and loved open world PvE and dungeons. Dabbled in PvP and would love to someday be skilled enough to be on a PvP team. The guild aspect of my first game was an amazing learning experience. I was asked to be a guild leader and had opportunities to develop my leadership strengths and identify areas I want to improve on. I did have times where I found myself spending more "game time" managing the guild than playing in the game. Since I had only ever played the one mmorpg, Talwyna offered to broaden my game play by introducing me to some of the classics and dabbling in some "new" titles. I got a chance to see how "questing" used to work via SWTOR and WOWpanda. I got to see the ultimate "mount" game in Dragons Prophet. We dabbled in a couple MMOBA games (really enjoying Heroes of the Storm). We have played several CCG's, my favs being Combat Monsters and Hearthstone. We stumbled on an absolute gem of an rpg meets fps in WarFrame which kept us fully entertained for well over a year. I would still consider myself an absolute "Newbie" in almost every way. So don't be shy about giving tips and forwarding links to articles or vids about builds and game play. I have so much to learn! but please, while in high tension game play, I will excel with words of encouragement or fail with shouts of commands from teammates. I prefer talking strategy, and reviewing tips for improvement outside of the fight. My play style is akin to the beloved "Leeroy Jenkins".... I'm all for developing a solid strategy for a complicated battle when we are OUTSIDE the game, but once I log in and can see the enemy, all I want to do is run in and smash faces all over the place.... and no, I have not mastered TANK. I have historically played ranged casters (cuz I'm a chick and they are so pretty), but I'll still find myself running into the heart of the mob and slamming cc, aoe's all over the place. But honestly friends, I value being a solid team player and am highly motivated to grow as a player in all jobs. **Play well with others** **Have fun smashing baddies**
