I'm a retired naval officer living outside Pensacola, FL coming to you guys initially for Skyforge with my girlfriend "LoFo". My roots in gaming obviously go back to the "Quarters and Joysticks" days but I stepped away during military service. It was the Mr. T "Night Elf Mohawk" WoW commercial that got me to try MMO's. I played WoW for about a year before switching to Warhammer Online to be more of a PVP'r. The guild I was with didn't last 3 months before going back to WoW WotLK... where I returned for over another year, this time joining a raid team and gaming pretty hard every day. I had two WoW accounts and even did some "2-boxing" for daily quests and for power leveling/gearing alts. I enjoyed playing most classes (and had 1 of each at 80) but "mained" rogue. My last day in WoW I had just equipped my purple drake from completing every annual event. I summoned it on the takeoff pad in Dalaran flew up for about 5 seconds and then logged out. If I remember correctly, LotRO had just gone F2P and I went there for some time. I played Darkfall with my PVP guild on the EU server before the NA launch and learned what hardcore full looting was all about. I played a little SWTOR, really enjoying the Boost mechanic in battleground PVP (shoutout to Huttball). I eagerly awaited Guild Wars 2 that year and jumped in during Beta. My guild left after a few months and I found a gaming community "Gaming After Dark", where I met LoFo, and played with them doing dungeons/fractals, sPVP, and some WvW. Most of the leadership left due to lack of team based "raid" content and LoFo took the reigns in game keeping the guild active a few more months. We enjoyed playing Warframe for over a year before getting frustrated with the mission complete RNG awards and "end game" content. Here recently we've been checking out Blizzard's CCG Hearthstone and MOBA Heroes of the Storm to broaden her gaming experience while we waited for Skyforge. We missed CBT but joined in a week after launch. GAD has not shown interest so we decided to look for a Paantheon. We're excited to meet and to play with you guys. Let us know where we can help out.
