Good day to all. I am curious as to how many of you all will be playing Ark: Survival Evolved. I have already joined an RP Server (just the forum until release day) and a Tribe within that forum. Probably get it, depends on the roadmap, havent looked at all the details but it does look like a good game with all the things you need people for. Then again if people want to be rampaging dickheads and kill everything in sight it will go down faster than a $2 hooker.
Absofrigginlutly! From the FAQ "Server Questions Are Survivors able to host their own dedicated server? Absolutely, the Early Access game will ship with dedicated server EXE so you can host your own custom server. You can modify the configuration to affect lots of variables such as NPC difficulty scaling, Player vs Player enabling, weather patterns, whether voice or text chat is proximity localized or global, and many other factors. Furthermore, you can host custom maps as well from the Steam Workshop. We can't guarantee that unofficial servers aren't hacked/modified however, so we also will be launching with our own official server network that guarantees item security. But yeah, the game is being designed first and foremost for player-driven customization. It also has an offline single-player mode."
Oh fuck yea. We will be using one of Our Servers to Host this game when it comes out than. That game looks kick ass.
ill get server up and running asap for it on release day, so we can have our own server going to invite people on.
According to the listing on STEAM it also has a level editor... I am wondering what that is going to be about.

After watching like 4 hours of gameplay I'm thinking I may also get this, not a huge fan of survival games but it has some interesting rpg elements and I like the stuff they have planned.

ill likely be spending the majority of my time on the official servers. Been watching livestreams of it today and it does look bloody fantastic
Pretty much, i mean i know there is end game pve and some prgression that doesn't leave on death. But the PVP side has some epic systems i really don't want to miss out on.
ill have the server up and running once I get out of work tomorow about 9pm CST. Till than try the official servers, and figure out what type of rule set you guys would want on ours. From what I hear servers can hold a whole lot of people?
